Pa-Hin Winter Fellowship

The totem of Pa-hín Lodge is a porcupine—small, yet mighty. That idea came to life during the
Pahín Lodge Winter Fellowship, held February 6–7 in Fargo, ND. The weekend was packed
with laughter, creativity, and that unique Arrowmen energy—a perfect reminder that even a
small lodge can make a big impact.

Arrowmen gathered to play games, work on leather projects, and catch a few movies. Some
spent hours perfecting their crafts, stitching and embossing with care, while others bonded over
board games like Catan, teaching new Arrowmen the ropes and cheering at every clever move
or lucky roll.

The highlight, for many, was heading to Suite Shots for golf! There was plenty of friendly
competition, a few wildly errant swings, and lots of laughs. You could see the enthusiasm on
everyone’s faces as they encouraged each other and just enjoyed being together. It wasn’t
about who won or lost, but about the shared experience—celebrating great shots, shrugging off
the not-so-great ones, and making memories along the way.

The fellowship also included a service moment, with members staffing a Rain Gutter Regatta
station at West Acres Mall to recruit new Arrowmen. Watching them patiently guide kids through
the race and share their experiences was inspiring. Moments like these show how Pa-hín Lodge
truly embodies the spirit of service and community. Even outside their usual Scouting settings,
members represented the lodge with pride, enthusiasm, and a welcoming spirit that left a
positive impression on families throughout the mall.

What makes Pa-hín Lodge special is how its members live the values of cheerfulness and
brotherhood. Whether helping a new Arrowman learn a game or giving tips on swinging a golf
club safely, everyone was dedicated to seeing each other succeed while having fun. Leadership
wasn’t about titles—it was about stepping up, lending a hand, and making sure no one felt left
out.

By the end of the weekend, the lesson of the porcupine totem felt clear. Pa-hín Lodge may be
“small,” but it’s mighty in heart, energy, and spirit. The Winter Fellowship wasn’t just games,
crafts, or golf—it was a celebration of brotherhood, joy, and service, a weekend that
perfectly captured the lodge’s unique spirit. As Arrowmen headed home, they carried with them
not only new skills and inside jokes, but also a renewed sense of purpose and pride in being
part of something small in number, yet powerful in impact.
