OA High Adventure: Serve, Explore, and Experience More

Order of the Arrow High Adventure (OAHA) is one of the best opportunities Scouting has to
offer. It allows Arrowmen to explore all four national high adventure bases, give meaningful
service, and take part in unforgettable adventures—all at a fraction of the usual cost.

OA High Adventure is a two-week program made up of:
● One week of service, helping maintain and improve a national high adventure base
● One week of adventure, where participants complete a full high adventure trek

During the program, Arrowmen work and adventure alongside fellow members from across the
country, strengthening brotherhood while living out the OA’s commitment to cheerful service.

OA High Adventure offers programs at:
● Philmont Scout Ranch
● Northern Tier
● Florida Sea Base
● Summit Bechtel Reserve

Each base offers a unique experience, giving Arrowmen the chance to explore places they may
never visit otherwise.
Thanks to the service component, OA High Adventure costs can be as low as $400 (not
including travel). This makes it one of the most affordable ways to attend a national high
adventure base.
To help even more Arrowmen participate, scholarships are available through the OA at the
national, section, and lodge levels. No one should miss out due to financial concerns.

To participate, Arrowmen must be registered OA members in good standing. Applications are
released well ahead of the summer season, and spots can fill quickly, so early planning is
encouraged. Lodge and section leaders are great resources for questions and guidance.
OA High Adventure is more than a trip—it’s a chance to serve, lead, and challenge yourself
while creating lifelong memories. If you’re looking to take your Scouting experience to the next
level, OA High Adventure is an opportunity worth exploring. You can find details on the
National Website here OA High Adventure | Order of the Arrow, Scouting America, or feel free to
